The National Police Headquarters Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) did not find DNA from other people in the case of Brigadier RA who was found dead in the car after taking a number of swabs at a number of points.
“The DNA that we managed to analyze from swabs, firearms, car keys, buttons, door handles and several others matched the DNA profile according to the victim’s blood,” said member of the National Police Headquarters Puslabfor Team, Police Commissioner Irfan, Monday.
According to him, the National Police Headquarters Puslabfor Team during the investigation was divided into two, one assigned to handle the DNA of RA victims and the other team related to the firearms found at the location.
He explained that for the team that checked DNA, they took a number of swabs at several points such as HS firearms, car keys, center dashboard, door handles, etc. as well as blood at the location.
Irfan said that after a laboratory examination, all the swabs matched the DNA profile according to the victim’s blood and there was no other person’s DNA.
Meanwhile, for firearms, said Police Commissioner Irfan, officers took gunshot residue (GSR) or residue produced from firearm bullets, and also soot on the car seats, shoulders and roof of the car.
“The results of the inspection of the HS 9 MM firearm were that it was functioning properly and had already been fired,” he said.
The National Police Headquarters Puslabfor took part in carrying out an investigation regarding the death of police officer Brigadier RA in Mampang, South Jakarta.
