This second edition is part of the implementation of the ambitious youth entrepreneurship program, which constitutes one of the main axes of the “Green Generation 2020-2030” strategy, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries and Rural Development, indicates the ADA in a press release.
Open to young Moroccans residing in Morocco or abroad, the objective of this competition is to identify, select and support innovative project leaders in the field of digital and climate-smart agriculture, adds the same source.
“Agriyoung Innovate#2” is a challenge which aims to put innovation at the service of Moroccan agriculture and to boost rural entrepreneurship. Through this pilot project which will take place in 4 main stages, the ADA and its partners aspire to provide strong support to these young people bringing innovative solutions, necessary for the modernization of the agricultural sector and to contribute to the creation of a favorable ecosystem. to the professional integration of Moroccan youth.
The first stage of this edition concerns the launch of a call for projects for the selection of a minimum of 20 innovative projects in the field of digital and climate-smart agriculture. The 2nd stage consists of supporting selected project leaders through intensive, tailor-made training spread over 5 months, mentoring and pitch sessions and networking. Project leaders will also benefit from access to the Fablab, the biochemistry laboratory and the UM6P experimental farm to develop their prototypes.
The 3rd stage will be dedicated to the Demo Day, a day during which selected project leaders will have the opportunity to present their projects to a committee made up of experts, investors, business angels and partners in the field of agriculture. and AgriTech. At the end of this stage, three projects will be awarded prizes.
The 4th and final stage, for its part, will focus on support for the implementation of winning projects through a dedicated post-support program encompassing the business creation processes, the deepening of the business model and the business plan to land a first client or raise funds and put you in touch with the UM6P entrepreneurial ecosystem.
