On Monday, April 29, a Hamas delegation will visit Egypt to conduct a new round of ceasefire negotiations.

As Day.Az reports, Reuters reports this.

There will be a discussion of the ceasefire proposal submitted by Hamas to mediators from Qatar and Egypt, as well as Israel’s response. The delegation is expected to respond to Israel’s latest proposal for a phased truce in Gaza, made on Saturday.

This includes an agreement for the release of fewer than 40 hostages in exchange for the release of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons and a second phase of the truce that includes a “period of sustained calm,” the sources said.

After the first stage, Israel will allow free movement between south and north Gaza and a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, the source said.

Talks will take place between a Hamas delegation and Qatari and Egyptian mediators to discuss the group’s comments on Israel’s response to its recent proposal.
