New possibilities for detecting infringements on beaches are offered by the digital application “MyCoast” of the Ministry of Digital Governance, through which citizens will be able to submit complaints for exceeding concessions or for arbitrary occupation of space.

The ‘MyCoast’ app will be available free of charge to citizens, who will identify the reason for the complaint by entering a brief description of the problem and choosing to submit anonymously or with a name. In case of a named complaint, login with personal taxisnet codes is required to complete the process.

According to ERT, those interested will be able to mark the point where there is a violation, either by searching on the map of the application, or via GPS. Once the area is located, the mobile screen will display information such as the declared location, the start and end of the lease, as well as the area covered by the concession permit.

It is noted that the tightening of the framework for the beaches is also strengthened by the creation of the special Register of Concession Contracts, which will support the conduct of auctions and the monitoring of compliance with the concession conditions.
