The deliveries of “Ararat” brandy to the Russian Federation are carried out under existing contracts with the manufacturer and will continue in the future, if necessary, a solution will be found. Ernest Khachaturyan, executive director of Luding Group, the country’s largest wine importer, stated this in a conversation with “RIA Novosti”.
At the end of May, the company reported that it did not receive notifications from Pernod Ricard, which had previously decided to stop exporting its products to the country, to stop cooperation with the Ararat cognac brand, and continues to supply it to the Russian market.
“Nothing has changed, supplies are going on. I cannot imagine Russia without “Ararat” and “Ararat” without Russia. All existing contracts are fulfilled, and then we will see, we will find some way out. Again, the French manufacturer established relations with both Russia and Armenia for a long time,” said Khachatryan.
In mid-May, “Pernod Ricard” announced that it stopped exporting all its international brands to Russia at the end of April. It was mentioned that the company will also stop the distribution of its products in the country.
The company’s portfolio includes dozens of brands, including Chivas Regal whiskey, Jameson, Ballantine’s, Absolut vodka, Olmeca tequila, Havana rum and Ararat brandy.
