“During its first participation in the Women’s World Cup, the national team managed to shine thanks to the vision of development of Moroccan sport in general, and football in particular, carried by HM King Mohammed VI, there is more than two decades,” declared the president of the FRMF to the press, on the occasion of the arrival, Thursday at the Mohammed V international airport in Casablanca, of the delegation of the women’s national team, which achieved the feat of reaching the round of 16 of the World Cup.
“This is the beginning of a journey that will undoubtedly be more successful for the women’s national team,” he predicted, promising that “efforts will be redoubled and the various resources available will be put to use. contribution in order to be at the level of the aspirations of the Sovereign and the Moroccan public”.
The Moroccan women’s team left the World Cup after losing to France (4-0) last Tuesday in Adelaide in the round of 16.
She had booked her ticket for the second round after a defeat by Germany (6-0) and two victories against South Korea (1-0) and Colombia (1-0).
