With the fifth term of Putin, who won the presidential elections with a historic margin, he will add 30 years in power that he has consolidated over the years.
The 71-year-old Russian president swore with his right hand on a copy of the country’s Constitution; as a symbolic act of fulfilling his campaign promises.
Vladimir Putin reformed the Russian Magna Carta in 2020 in order to eliminate any obstacle that prevented him from continuing to control the Executive power.
During the speech to make his fifth term official, the president did not hesitate to remind the West that he is willing to dialogue to end an unprecedented war against Ukraine.
“We do not reject dialogue with Western countries. It depends on them,” Putin highlighted when talking about countries hostile to his government.
