BOLZANO. The project is called “24homes – secret gardens” and involves the organization and implementation of fifth “Garden-Concert” in as many private gardens located in all the neighborhoods of Bolzano. Artists of all ages will perform within green spaces of private places, usually not open to the public and therefore unknown (“secret”).
Each event, scheduled from 19 to 23 June, will be documented through videos and photos always shared at the same time via social pages. The project, presented by the municipal councilor for youth and participation, Christian Baptistsand by the organizers, is a summer extension of “24homes – art is at home”, a series of twenty-four concerts held last December in as many private homes.
The new initiative, curated by the artistic director, Greta Marcolongo, involves the organization and realization of five “house/garden concerts” lasting 60 minutes in five different private gardens in all the districts of Bolzano. In December, however, “24homes – art is at home” will be repeated in the same way as last year. Both projects are carried out through two different public tenders: the first aimed at citizens who want to host an event in their home/garden; the second aimed at artists who want to perform and offer their music in an unusual and unusual space.
The work team will choose locations and artists. The closing of the spring/summer call is scheduled for June 1st 2024. The closing of the winter call is scheduled for October 31st 2024. The outcome of the selection will then be communicated by June 5th for the summer concerts and by November 24th for the winter project.
