Georgia expects closer cooperation with partners in the Azerbaijan-EU green corridor project.

As Day.Az reported on Saturday with reference to Trend, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said this at the opening ceremony of the meeting of the ADB Board of Governors in Tbilisi.

“We will continue to invest in Georgia’s multidisciplinary regional hub to fully exploit its potential. And against the backdrop of a global crisis, alternative routes are critical to international stability, energy and food security. Taking this into account, we look forward to closer cooperation with our partners to promote projects such as underwater power supply and Internet cable in the Black Sea, ferry transportation in the Black Sea, etc.,” he said.

According to him, it is necessary to maintain Georgia’s competitiveness, and improving infrastructure in the region is a priority.

“We are building east-west, south-east, south-north corridors, improving communications. And the deep-sea port of Anaklia and Tbilisi International Airport play a decisive role in these segments. It is worth noting that we have provided a comprehensive program for improving the railway system and further developing corporate systems “, the Prime Minister added.
