Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Oil announced the completion of projects to improve the quality of petroleum products and others are under implementation. While it indicated efforts to generalize the Euro 5 type to all refinery products, it confirmed that liquid gas is 15 degrees better than super gasoline.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Refining Affairs, Hamid Al-Zubaie, told the (INA): “The Ministry is making great efforts through projects to improve the quality of petroleum products,” indicating that “part of these projects have been completed, and the other part is under implementation.”
Al-Zobaie added, “There are serious efforts towards ensuring that all refinery products are Euro 5 products, environmentally friendly and of high quality.”
He pointed out that “super gasoline has an octane rating of 95%, improved gasoline has an octane rating of 92%, and regular gasoline has an octane rating of 82-85%, which is within Iraqi specifications.”
She stated that “the liquid gas is of high quality, and is 15 degrees better than super gasoline, and the financial cost is very low, as a liter of liquid gas used in cars costs 200 dinars.”
