The Luxembourg has to compete in Eurovision since 1993, but today he returns to the first semi-final, vying for a place in Saturday’s grand final.
This means that the 24-year-old Such, representing Luxembourg, has never seen her country perform live at Eurovision. He will experience it this year, but… live from the stage.
Luxembourg has participated in Eurovision 37 times since its debut in the first contest in 1956 and has won 5. After finishing among the bottom seven countries in 1993, it was relegated and unable to compete in 1994. The country did not return to the contest in 1995 and did not participate for the next three decades.
Last time the country appeared in the music competition, it was with the band Modern Times and the song “Give me a chance”finishing 20th in the final.
With regard to this year’s participation, Luxembourg is not high in the predictions. Tali is in 27th place according to the betting and qualifying will be difficult, but the fact that the country is returning after 31 years has excited Eurovision fans.
In recent years, Tali has been studying musical theater in New York, as well as writing and performing her own music. She has a talented writing team behind her Eurovision song, including Dardust, who worked on Italian Mahmood’s Soldi in 2019.
The 24-year-old declares herself a big fan of Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. Regarding her participation in the competition, she had stated the following: “I’m looking forward to meeting all the other contestants and seeing Sweden in the spring because I’ve only been there in the winter when it gets dark early. Also, being on that stage, it feels surreal.”
