/ Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned of the threat posed by the conflict in Ukraine to Europe, saying that for the first time since the end of World War II, the continent was entering a “pre-war era.”

According to Agence France-Presse, Tusk said in an interview with the “LENA” media network, which includes the largest alliance of European newspapers, “War is no longer a concept from the past. It is a reality, and it began more than two years ago. The most worrying thing currently is that any scenario is possible for it to happen.” “We have not seen a situation like this since 1945.”

He added, “I know that it seems devastating, especially for the younger generation, but we have to get used to the fact that a new era has begun: the pre-war era. I am not exaggerating, it is becoming clearer every day.”

The Russian-Ukrainian war more than two years ago shook European leaders’ sense of stable peace after the war, prompting many European countries to accelerate arms production to supply Kiev and its forces with what they needed.

The former European Council president, whose country was one of the most prominent supporters of neighboring Ukraine, confirmed on Friday that if Kiev loses the war, “no one” in Europe will feel safe.

Also at the forefront of the continent’s concerns is the possible return of former US President Donald Trump to the White House, especially after his publicly skeptical stances on NATO.

“Our mission is to strengthen transatlantic relations, regardless of who the American president is,” Tusk said in the interview.
