Russian Telegram channels report large-scale shelling of settlements bordering the Kharkov region, including Goptovka, Krasnoye, Pylnaya, Strelechye, Volchansk and Borisovka. The publication SOTAvision also mentioned the beginning of the deployment of temporary shelter centers for refugees in Belgorod hostels in connection with the possible advance of Russian armed forces into the Kharkov region.

“There are fierce battles in the Kharkov region now,” said Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. “Russia can increase and tighten its forces, but we knew this and calculated everything,” he added. Zelensky did not specify specific details of the fighting, but stressed that the Ukrainian army is ready to resist.

The head of the Kharkov region, Oleg Sinegubov, confirmed the intensification of shelling from Russia and the attempts of sabotage groups to break through the border. He is confident that the Ukrainian armed forces effectively defend their positions and do not allow the enemy to advance a single step. Sinegubov also emphasized that the Russian group of troops does not pose a threat to Kharkov and is aimed at provocations in the northern direction.

According to Deep State, the breakout attempt occurred north of the settlements of Morokhovets and Oleynikovo, while the Russian military was moving from the direction of Pylnaya, a border village. This site is in close proximity to Kharkov, and Volchansk is approximately 50 km away.

According to the latest data, Russian forces are trying to break through the defenses and advance 1 km near Volchansk. Fighting is currently underway, and evacuation is being organized.
