Shammi Thilakan shares heart touching experience with actor and MP Suresh Gopi. Shammi shared the incident on social media on the set of the movie ‘Pappan’ directed by Joshi. Shammi tells the story of how she bought her favorite dessert a month after the shoot and sent it home. His note reads:

A sweet story of the care received while preparing a fervent reply to the sourdough explanatory notice received by stabbing some people for asking bitter questions with good intentions, democratically, for the good of society ..!
The story begins on the night of January 13, 2022 (the day after me) on the set of Erattupetta in the movie ‘Pappan’ directed by Joshi and starring Mr. Suresh Gopi, MP and actor, produced by Sir David Kachappilly. Suresh Ji, Nyla Usha and I are filming a scene together. The filming of the ‘face-to-face’ confrontation with him over two nights is coming to an end.
The break that fell while the technical department was preparing for the next shot as per the instructions of the brilliant cameraman Ajay David. Although everyone including me was very tired due to workload and insomnia, Suresh ji looked cheerful.
I asked ..,
“In the last two or three days, have you slept only two or three hours, man?”
Beats me up like a ‘pappan’ all night ..; Governing the country as an ‘elder’ (MP) all day ..!
How is this possible? ”
He replied with his spontaneous laugh and looked at his assistant. Immediately, faster than the lightning bolt, the helper delivered a packet to his hand. It was a special kind of dessert bought from Delhi.
The favorite dessert of all our Prime Ministers. He shared that one box of sweets with everyone regardless of size.
I took one of the two or three I was given.
I’m not so ‘interested’ in ‘sweet’ for a long time and gave the major share of it to my friend Advocate Shyam, a lawyer and writer who was with me at the time. I do not know. Things did not go as planned. That ‘sweetie’ was so delicious.
Oops ..; Could have taken one more. Feeling guilty. Or so it seems ..; It is often too late for us to realize the value and value of many of the things we put on our hands in life. No, I did not have enough. Still need.
Slowly I approached him, leaving the desire on my tongue as a lust. ” Sureshji ..; Sweet was so delicious ..; Can I have one more? He said sadly that it had already been distributed to all ..;
” Oh ..; Shammi is done … ” I understood his condition and hid my disappointment and said with a laugh ..;

By then, the director’s announcement of ‘Shot Ready’ had come. The voice whispered softly in my ear as I turned to the part where the notice had been received. ” Don’t worry Thilakan Chettan’s son ..; I’m going to pay off this debt. I forgot the story of that debt that was ‘sweet’ in the midst of the hustle and bustle of survival. But exactly one month later, on February 13, a call came in
” Shammi .., is Suresh Gopi. The loan I owe you will be at your doorstep shortly. Accept. ”
Not finished. The calling bell rang. Curious, I opened the door. Art Director Shri. Sabu Ram at the door. Sabu left after handing over a package to Suresh Gopi saying that he had sent it to Sir Chettan’s house. I remember exactly what he said a month ago when I walked back with that love package filled with the most ‘delicious sweets’ I have ever eaten or experienced.
” Don’t worry Thilakan Chettan’s son ..; I will pay this debt ”
