The song is said to have been composed by renowned composer Anirudh. The lyrics contained a number of derogatory words about women.

This was followed by protests against actor Simbu. Coimbatore Racecourse police have registered a case against Simbu and Anirudh based on a complaint lodged by a women’s organization.

Simbu subsequently filed a petition in the I-Court. In it, the case registered by the Coimbatore police and the summons sent to him to appear in person for the trial should be quashed.

At that time, advocate Thiyageswaran, appearing for the petitioner, said, ‘It is not possible to register multiple cases for one incident. But cases have been registered in many police stations across Tamil Nadu. Even yesterday, in the order on the pre-bail petition, the iCourt has ordered that the Coimbatore case may be filed in Chennai.
