Four members of a family were found dead in Kodungallur, Thrissur. The deceased have been identified as Ashiq (41), wife of Kadamparambu Ubaidullah, wife Abira (34), children Astra Fathima (14) and Anounnisa (8). The poisonous gas was inhaled in a closed room. According to the police and the locals, it is a suicide.

It is said that they were in a good position and recently had a huge financial burden. There are indications that the house was under threat of foreclosure. The police are only confirming this information. The other members of the household lived on the ground floor and Ashik and his wife and children on the upper floor.

When he did not get up after the usual time in the morning, the people downstairs knocked on the door. But did not open. When the neighbors finally reached upstairs and looked out the window, they saw everyone lying dead. The police broke down the door and went inside to check.

Police said more inquiries were needed into the deaths due to the poisoning. Only a detailed investigation can reveal what the toxic gas was and how it was used. It is being investigated whether there is any mystery in the death. Ashiq, who works as a software engineer, is believed to have committed suicide along with his children.
