The State Election Commission has announced that 43.65 per cent votes have been registered in the Chennai Municipal Corporation in the urban local government elections.
In Chennai, the turnout was sluggish, with a total of 43.65 per cent turnout in the 200 wards.
In Chennai, the highest turnout was 84 per cent in the 17th ward in the Manali zone, 72.09 per cent in the first ward in the Tiruvottiyur zone and 71.20 per cent in the 159th ward under the Alandur zone.
At least in the 133rd ward in the Kodambakkam constituency, only 31 percent of the vote was cast.
