Ukraine crisis: Germany bans Russia’s gas pipeline project!

by time news

Germany suspends Russia’s major gas pipeline following Vladimir Putin’s order to send troops into Ukraine.

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he would recognize the two pro-Russian provinces in eastern Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk, as autonomous regions.

Subsequently, Russian forces were concentrated in those two areas. As a result, the risk of war between Ukraine and Russia increased.

Western nations see the move as an excuse for a wider invasion. The United States and European countries have strongly opposed this.

In response, the West has imposed sanctions on Russia. In that regard, Germany has suspended the construction of the largest gas pipeline, the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia.

Earlier in the day, he spoke with US President George W. Bush on the issue of trade and financing in two Russian-backed regions of Ukraine. As a result, Western nations will no longer fund the Russian government.

There is time for diplomatic talks on the Ukraine issue. The United States has said it will “increase these sanctions” if Russia continues its actions in defiance of this.
