jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) Raja Sapta Oktohari shared interesting facts behind the Indonesian Olympic jersey designed by a domestic designer with international acclaim, Didit Hediprasetyo.
It turns out that making this jersey design is free of charge.
According to Oktohari, from the start when he was offered to be a designer, Didit immediately agreed, even stating that he would become the main sponsor with his foundation, the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation.
“Didit’s spontaneous answer when he was offered (to be a jersey designer) was yes, I want to be involved. It’s not just the design, because from the start Didit said that if we are involved, we should not be half-hearted for the country,” said Oktohari at the launch of the Indonesian team jersey at Nusantara Garden, Darmawangsa, South Jakarta, Thursday, (4/7).
Didit’s contribution deserves a thumbs up, not without reason Didit’s work in the world of design has gone global.
Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Anindya Novyan Bakrie, said that Didit had been around the international fashion world, including in Paris.
“There, Didit not only studied fashion design, but also ran a business that focused on haute couture collections. He was listed as one of the interior designers of the BMW Individual Series. His design work, among others, was once worn by Canadian singer, Carly Rae Jepsen, when attending the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards,” said Anindya.
Anindya said that the only son of the president-elect for 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, designed the jersey design for Como 1907, an Italian football club.
