The British Foreign Office has corrected the address of Rossiya Bank in the sanctions list, it follows from the revised data of the department.

Initially, Neglinnaya Street, 12 was indicated as the address of Bank Rossiya in the document of the British Ministry of Finance. The Russian Central Bank is located at this address, while the head office of Bank Rossiya is located in St. Petersburg.

Britain imposed sanctions against 5 Russian banks, Rotenberg and Timchenko

On Monday, February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed documents recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR, as well as agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance with the heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics.

The next day, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the imposition of sanctions against five Russian banks: Promsvyazbank, Rossiya, Industrial Savings Bank, Black Sea Development Bank, Genbank. Moreover, Johnson warned that this is only the first wave of sanctions, further sanctions are possible in the event of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Black Sea Bank for Development and Reconstruction told RBC that the sanctions would not affect the work of the bank. “Bank ChBRR JSC has been under US sanctions since 2017, but they do not have any consequences for the bank’s activities,” the press service noted.
