Iran announces decline in trade with Iraq over past 11 months

/ The Iranian Customs Administration announced on Saturday that 10 countries accounted for 84% of the total trade with it in the past 11 months, amid a decline in trade with Iraq during this period.

The Iranian Customs Authority stated in a statement seen by Agency, that “trade with the ten countries recorded 136.064 million tons, worth $88.441 billion, during the mentioned period.”

She pointed out that “the first trading partners with Iran, with a share of 84 percent of the country’s total trade with the world, are China, the Emirates, Turkey, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Russia, Oman, Germany and Afghanistan.”

She explained that “trade with Iraq declined by 5 percent in price and 1 percent in quantity in the past 11 months.”

She added, “Trade exchange with Russia was the highest among the top 10 trading partners, with a 54 percent increase in quantity and a 24 percent increase in price.”
