The State Revenue Committee, taking into account the importance of the classification of products in accordance with the product nomenclature of the foreign economic activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU FTA AA) for the participants of foreign economic activity, has simplified the process of customs procedures.

As part of the general policy of simplification of procedures, from March 1, a transition was made from the total control of some product codes to a more targeted control. As a result of the simplification of procedures, the entire process of product declaration will be significantly simplified and its duration will be reduced.

According to the previous procedure, in order to use the so-called closed codes, the entrepreneur had to first apply to the customs control department of the SRC, from where he would obtain the code of the necessary product. With the new change, the business owner can carry out the entire process without applying to the customs authority, making the declaration in accordance with the law.

In order to carry out the process more effectively, the State Revenue Committee urges businessmen to demonstrate exclusively law-abiding behavior. To apply customs formalities by the first method (transaction price method), have necessary documents, declare at real value and avoid various inconveniences.

The process of simplifying customs procedures was due to the problematic nature and complexity of the classification of some goods (for example, machinery, equipment, technological goods, etc.). Thus, with the new change, targeted control of product codes will be carried out by SRC employees with various monitoring tools. Along with that, under the mentioned conditions, the responsibility of the declarants will increase significantly in terms of the accuracy of the declared information regarding the product codes and customs values.
