Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the “Yerevan Sports Summer 2016” sports and cultural event organized in the capital’s “Water Park” complex. This event, launched by the initiative of the Yerevan Municipality and which has already become a pleasant tradition, aimed at revitalizing sports life and healthy lifestyle, has become popular and expected. The event started with a parade of teams from 12 administrative districts of Yerevan and was accompanied by demonstration performances. Popular dance groups also welcomed the audience. Within the framework of the event held for the third year in a row, the teams of the administrative districts competed against each other in various matches.
According to the results of the “Yerevan Sports Summer 2016” match, Nork-Marash was recognized as the best sports administrative district. The team of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district took the second place, and the Nor Nork administrative district took the third place. Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan congratulated and handed over the trophies to the winning teams.
In the framework of the solemn ceremony, awards were also given to the teams of the administrative districts who won the 8-tournament festival held for the Yerevan Mayor’s Transfer Cup within the framework of the three-month program “Yerevan Summer 2016”.
In order to win the trophy of the “Healthy Generation: Protected Motherland” city-wide traditional yard festival three years in a row, it was always handed over to Ajapnyak administrative district.
