Lando Norris of McLaren Racing was the fastest driver in the third and final free practice session of Formula 1 at the demanding Hungaroring circuit.
The action at the Hungarian Grand Prix of Formula 1 continued with great interest, with the FP3 giving us an additional taste of what to expect for the rest of the weekend. Unlike Friday, the air temperature was 4 degrees Celsius lower, while the track temperature was 20 degrees Celsius lower.
The fastest after the last hour of testing at the Hungaroring was Lando Norris of McLaren Racing. The British driver, using the soft tire compound, recorded a time of 1:16.098 and took the title of favorite for the pole position battle. The driver who came closest to him was his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who delivered a 1-2 for McLaren. The Australian was just 44 thousandths of a second away from the top.

In third place in the standings was Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing. The Austrian team followed a very different program from the other teams, with the Dutchman being two tenths of a second away from the top. However, it remains to be seen if this difference will hold in the qualifying session.

It appears that McLaren and Red Bull Racing will be the teams to take center stage this weekend, as indicated by the four tenths of a second difference between Norris and fourth-place George Russell. In fifth place was Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari SF-24, ahead of the on-form Daniel Ricciardo of RB.
Next was Alex Albon of Williams, while eighth place went to the always fast one-lap driver Nico Hülkenberg of Haas. Yuki Tsunoda brought the second RB into the top 10, completed by Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes. Missing out were Charles Leclerc and Sergio Pérez, who recorded the 11th and 13th fastest times respectively.
