Benghazi Security Directorate arrested “a person and his friend who stole the mobile phone code and a bank card from the father of the first person and withdrew 5,200 dinars.”
Benghazi Security Directorate said in a statement: “The operation came in response to a citizen’s complaint at the Ras Abeida Police Station against his son, who stole his code, which he uses in banking transactions, as well as his MobiCash card, and transferred an amount of 5,200 from his account to another account.”
According to the statement, “The head of the center issued his instructions to search and investigate, and to arrest the wanted person, as the investigation members were able to obtain information indicating that the suspect was present at the Al-Jawhara resort. The investigation members moved to the location and were able to arrest the wanted person and another person who was with him and take them to the center.”
The directorate added: “Upon investigation with the first complainant’s son, he confessed to stealing his father’s code and MobiCash card and transferring an amount to one of the exchange offices and taking the amount in cash. He stated that his friend, who was caught with him, was an accomplice in the theft, noting that they rented a chalet and spent the rest of the amount on buying some items. They were referred to the Public Prosecution.”
