Araz Ozbilis, the midfielder of the Armenian national team and “Spartak” of Moscow, will probably move to “Besiktas” in the near future.

The Turkish club has already confirmed through its official website that it is negotiating the transfer of the 25-year-old football player. Ozbilis is expected to arrive in Istanbul today.

In this regard, Selina Dogan, the Armenian MP of Turkey’s opposition Kemalist Republican People’s Party, posted on her Facebook page, where she welcomed the transfer of Araz Ozbilis, a football player of the Armenian national football team, to the Turkish “Besiktas” football club. The opposition deputy wrote the following.

“The news of Armenian football player Araz Ozbilis moving to Besiktas made me very happy. Undoubtedly, sports and sports competitions play an important role in the direction of societies to get to know each other better, understand each other, and strengthen fraternal bonds. I value the fact that Araz Ozbilis will play in Turkey from now on from the point of view of strengthening the fraternal ties between the Turkish and Armenian societies, which I also consider possible,” wrote the opposition figure and added:

Unfortunately, there is racist propaganda against Ozbilis on social media because of his ethnicity, but let no one forget that football was brought to these lands as a sport by non-Muslim peoples.

They founded the first clubs, and the information about Turkish football is a myth. Dear Araz, I wish you and Besiktas success. Welcome to your home, the land of your birth.”
