Foreign Secretary Harsh V Shringla has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly.
Speaking to reporters this evening (Thursday) as Russia continues its war on Ukraine, Shringla said:
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed at the Cabinet meeting that the security of students and Indians in Ukraine is a top priority for the government. Foreign Minister S. Jayasinghe spoke with the Foreign Ministers of Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

4000 Indians have left Ukraine in the last few days. The State Department control room received 980 phone calls and 850 emails.
