/ On Saturday, a 30-year-old Iranian man killed 12 of his family members with a weapon in the city of Faryab in Kerman province.
According to a report by the Iranian IRNA news agency, translated by Agency, “The head of the Kerman court, Ibrahim Hamidi, confirmed that a 30-year-old man in the village of Mazra’at and Imam Adori, affiliated with the city of Faryab, killed 12 members of his family, including (father, brother, brother’s wife, etc.), due to a family dispute, with Kalashnikov weapons.”
Kerman’s chief justice described the motive behind the shooting as a “family dispute.”
“The attacker’s father, brother and sister-in-law are among the dead, and there are several children and women among the victims, according to some local media, in addition to at least three wounded,” he said.
According to the police, the fugitive was eventually identified in the village of Mahrouyeh in Faryab city and was killed during an attempt to arrest him.
