At the joint session of the NA Standing Committees on Economic and Financial Credit and Budgetary Affairs on November 2, the allocations provided by the 2022 state budget to the sectors of transport, water management and energy were presented.
According to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, 335 billion 257 million drams will be allocated to the ministry. 140 events will be implemented within the framework of 22 programs. 209 billion 594 million drams will be allocated to capital expenses, and 125 billion 663 million drams to current expenses.
According to the minister, 116 billion 642 million drams are planned to be allocated to the transport sector in the draft budget. 3 programs, 31 events will be implemented. The largest is the “Road network improvement” project, to which 115 billion 117 million drams will be allocated. Another program envisages reconstruction of Talin-Landjik and Lanjik-Gyumri road sections and provision of two-way traffic. The construction of the bridge in the territory of the Bagratashen crossing will continue, for which AMD 1.3 billion will be allocated from the budget. Construction works will also be carried out in the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border section.
45 billion 253 million drams will be allocated to implement 5 programs and 41 measures in the field of water management. The main part of the money will be directed to the “Irrigation Systems Recovery” project. It is planned to overhaul 185 km of irrigation networks and build a new network of 15 km. Within the framework of the project to be implemented with EU support, irrigation systems will be built in 17 settlements of Syunik region, 17 reservoirs will be designed and built, and 4 reservoirs will be repaired.
The allocation to the field of energy is 49 billion 425 million drams. It is planned to implement 3 programs and 10 events. The largest is the “Caucasian Power Transmission Network/Armenia-Georgia transmission line/substations” project, consisting of 3 components.
