As the war rages in Ukraine, the other Europe returns tonight (Friday) to play basketball: the 27th round of the Euroleague continues, with two more games: Monaco defeated Fenerbahce, and Panathinaikos celebrated a dramatic victory against the Red Star Belgrade. The third game that was supposed to take place tonight, between Zenit and Barcelona, was postponed to an unknown date – for obvious reasons.

The team from the Princesses achieved a double victory tonight: not only did they put up a fourth game out of five when they go out with their hand on the top, they also mimicked the loss by ten points from the previous game in Turkey – which would buy them an advantage, in case of “head to head” with Turkish rival.
An excellent second quarter of 13:36 (!) In favor of the host was enough for her to achieve the victory this time, when the third and fourth quarters were for the record only. Alpha Diallo led Monaco with 24 points, Donuts Motionas added 18, Will Thomas scored 14 and Mike James “settled” for 10 points (eight of which came from the penalty line). At Fenner’s? 19 to Nando de Colo, 18 to Marco Godoric, 10 to De Sean Pierre and Danilo Barthel.

When it’s hard to win, every win is worth gold – the green crowd celebrated at the end, mostly as a sigh of relief. Georgios Klaicis’ Greeks put together a second consecutive victory, having beaten Villerban in the previous round, while the Serbs are moving away from the possibility of qualifying for the “Top 8.”
The close game in Greece lasted right up until the final seconds, but a good ability from Nemanja Nedovic (25 points) gave them what it takes to mark another “V”. Along with Nadovic, Vasilis Kabadas also stood out with 17 points. Jeremy Evans and Howard St. Ross with 8 points each. Aron White stood out in Belgrade with 14 points, Austin Hollins added 13, Nikola Kalinic with 12.
