(ANSA) – Rome, August 7 – The heat alert continues, and the red dots that signal the maximum level of risk from high temperatures for the entire population are back, almost all in the center-south. Tomorrow there are two cities, Perugia and Rome, ‘in red’ (today they were orange, health risk only for the most fragile). According to the bulletin on heat waves from the Ministry of Health that takes into consideration 27 cities, it will be on Friday that the red dots will become 8, almost all in the center-south. These are 4 of the provincial capitals of Lazio (in addition to Rome, Rieti, Frosinone and Latina), Palermo, Perugia Campobasso and, the only city in the north, Brescia. The list could grow over the next weekend, which, according to experts, could be the hottest of the year.
Northern Italy will also be hot, where a fast-moving disturbance is in action that will bring thunderstorms and hail until tomorrow afternoon, when the African anticyclone will bring temperatures back up.
