Screenwriter and actress Fatema Loukili is one of the first Moroccan female screenwriters to have achieved notable success. She has collaborated with directors such as Farida Benlyazid and Jilali Ferhati on several films, including “A Door to Heaven,” “Casablanca Casablanca,” and “Women’s Tricks.”
Loukili is also known for her work as a journalist for SNRT and 2M. She produced and hosted the first political program on Moroccan television.
Director and screenwriter Abdelkader Lagtaa has written and directed six feature-length fiction films, including “Un amour à Casablanca,” “Les casablancais,” “La porte close,” ”Face à face,” “Yasmine et les hommes,” and “La moitié du ciel.”
Additionally, a special tribute will be paid to Latif Lahlou, a veteran of Moroccan cinema, with the screening of his restored film “Spring Sun” (1969).
