National Olympic Committee of Armenia participates in European Olympic Committee conference
On November 21-22, a delegation from the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Armenia, led by its General Secretary Hrachya Rostomyan, participated in the 43rd General Conference of the European Olympic Committee in Baku. During the conference, various issues were discussed, including the upcoming first European Sports Games to be held in Baku next year.
The conference delegates expressed their appreciation for Armenia’s participation in the main conference, recognizing it as a significant contribution to fostering peace and solidarity in the sports world. They also proposed elevating the Olympic movement to a new level.
During the conference, the NOC delegation held numerous meetings with delegations from other Olympic Committees, discussing bilateral cooperation. The issue of Armenia’s participation in the 2015 Games was also addressed during these meetings. Concerns were raised, but satisfactory answers were provided by the organizers.
The conference also decided to hold the 45th jubilee conference in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
The NOC of Armenia believes that Armenian athletes should participate in the first European Games in Baku, demonstrating the country’s sporting prowess. However, they will make a final decision after consultations with various stakeholders.
