Organized by the Al Yousr Association for Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Larache province, the city municipality, the provincial council, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima regional council, and the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans living abroad, this festival runs until the 14th of this month. It brings together Moroccan experts to discuss contemporary issues relevant to Morocco, with the aim of supporting national development across all sectors and accompanying the significant progress the country is experiencing.
Mehdi El Mrabet, president of the Al Yousr Association, emphasized that the festival’s program includes numerous meetings focused on Moroccans living abroad (MRE). He stressed that the festival aims to strengthen the emotional ties of MRE with their homeland and create a platform for exchanging views on local development, leveraging their skills, experiences, and talents.
He further added that the initiative aligns with the High Directives of HM King Mohammed VI, which prioritize supporting Moroccan skills and talents abroad, encouraging their initiatives and projects, maintaining communication, and highlighting their potential and the dynamics of development and investment.
This edition features a diverse group of Moroccan experts from various fields, including scientists, industrialists, intellectuals, politicians, and cultural figures, who have made significant contributions to their homeland. Additionally, representatives from several friendly countries, including China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Spain, Ivory Coast, and Senegal, are also in attendance.
These countries were invited to participate in order to foster bilateral relations, strengthen ties, and explore potential partnerships in fields such as digitalization, culture, technology, and scientific research, while contributing to the local development of Larache.
