Hindu Group Attacking People in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, 2024-08-11 - A recent incident involving the Hindu Raksha Dal (HRD) attacking people living in slums near Guldhar station in Ghaziabad has come to light. The victims were accused of being Bangladeshi. The police have released a statement regarding the case.
According to the police investigation, no individuals of Bangladeshi origin were found residing in the slum. The inhabitants of the slum belong to Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A case has been registered against HRD president Pinky Chaudhary and his supporters for vandalism and arson in the slum.
It’s notable that Pinky Chaudhary has previously made inflammatory statements regarding the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, alleging mass killings, rapes, and temple demolitions. He has threatened retaliatory action against Bangladeshis living in India if the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh continue.
Recent reports suggest heightened violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindu temples, homes, and businesses are being targeted, with Dhaka witnessing significant violence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the interim government of Bangladesh to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of Hindus and minorities.
Following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Nobel Prize winner Mohammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of the interim government. Prime Minister Modi extended his congratulations to Yunus and raised concerns over the attacks on Hindus and other minorities, urging the new leader to take action to guarantee their safety.
