The DIC representative stated that they had received reports about Nam Thu’s media event but found no application for a press conference permit.
Ms. My Tran, the representative, explained that the Department had invited Nam Thu to collaborate on related content, with a working session scheduled for August 9th. “We invited Nam Thu to clarify the recent media meeting. The results of the meeting will be announced to the press soon,” she said.
Ms. Tran also noted an increase in unauthorized press conferences, with individuals bypassing the necessary permission procedures.
According to Clause 1 and 3 of Article 41 of the 2016 Press Law, organizations and individuals organizing press conferences must notify the state press management agency 24 hours in advance.
The Department emphasized the importance of collaboration among authorities, media agencies, and event organizers to prevent unauthorized press conferences. Consequences for violations include the immediate cessation of the event and subsequent administrative sanctions.
Previously, Nam Thu held a press conference to address rumors about her private life.
During the meeting, Nam Thu denied reports of involvement with a married person and confirmed that no explicit or illicit videos or images exist of her engaging in such behavior.
The actress expressed concern over the impact of online attacks on her reputation and career, specifically citing the actions of the “Zyy Doo” account and other individuals.
