Web Desk: Pakistani Crime Thriller ”Ganjal” Premieres in Saudi Arabia
The premiere of the Pakistani crime thriller film “Ganjal” was held in Saudi Arabia, hosted by the Pakistani Embassy. Directed by Shoaib Sultan, the film is based on the life and murder of Pakistani child labor worker Iqbal Masih.
The cast and crew of the film were welcomed by the Pakistani Embassy at the Cultural Palace in Riyadh. The Deputy Head of Mission, Moazzam Ali, emphasized the strong relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting shared interests in culture.
Director Shoaib Sultan expressed excitement about showcasing the dynamic Pakistani film industry in Saudi Arabia, describing the film as a celebration of Iqbal Masih and his advocacy for labor and human rights.
The main actress, Amina Ilyas, stated that the embassy’s events create a positive and realistic image of Pakistan and its people. Artist Fatima Mazahir expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to exhibit in Saudi Arabia.
The premiere was accompanied by a display of Pakistani culture and cuisine, including mangoes and over 40 works of art by various artists.
