Shah Rukh Khan Honored with Pardo alla Carriera Award
Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most successful actors in the world, was honored with the Pardo alla Carriera Award at the Locarno Film Festival 2024 on Saturday evening. The ceremony was attended by a large crowd of fans and dignitaries.
Khan expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received in Locarno, calling the city “beautiful, cultural, artistic, and warm.” He also joked that he couldn’t reveal the title of the award because it was “very difficult.”
The actor also spoke about his love for India, saying, “There are so many people sitting in a small place and it is so hot, it feels like being at home in India.”
During his speech, Khan responded to a fan who shouted “I love you,” replying, “I love you too.” He also shared that he was learning Italian and could now make pasta and pizza.
The festival also screened Khan’s 2002 film “Devdas,” as a tribute to his career.
