‘Gangubhai Kathiawadi’ is a new film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a well-known Bollywood film writer and director who has acted in notable films like 1942 A Love Story, Khamoshi, Devdas, Black, Saawariya, Guzarish, Bhajirao Mastani and Padmavat. The new release date of ‘Gangubhai Kathiyawadi’ starring Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been announced. The release of the film was announced in July this year but the release was postponed due to Kovid. The film is set to hit theaters on February 18, 2022.

Alia plays the mafia queen who rules Kamathipura in Mumbai. The film is based on Hussain Saeed’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The teaser of the film had already garnered attention. The teaser was released on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday.
