jpnn.comBANJARMASIN – The Regional Office (Kanwil) of Customs and Excise of South Kalimantan (Kalbagsel) and Morowali Customs are strengthening collaboration with other agencies through holding socialization events.

In Banjarmasin, the Kalbagsel Customs and Excise Regional Office became a resource person for the socialization of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) regulations held by the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on Thursday (8/8).

In the socialization, IPR regulation material was presented from a trade perspective by representatives of the South Kalimantan Provincial Trade Service and IPR recording and supervision material by representatives of the Kalbagsel Customs Office.

Head of the Public Relations and Customs Extension Sub-Directorate Encep Dudi Ginanjar said that in implementing IPR policies and monitoring efforts for a more advanced domestic economy, collaboration between government agencies is important.

“This collaboration is expected to strengthen the protection of domestic producers’ patent rights and increase the competitiveness of local products in the global market,” said Encep in his statement, Tuesday (13/8).

Socialization of the results of inter-agency collaboration was also carried out in Morowali on Monday (12/8).

Morowali Customs in collaboration with the Morowali Regency BNN Office held a socialization regarding the dangers of drugs, starting from an introduction to the types of drugs, the effects they cause, and the negative impacts that can affect the physical, psychological, and social aspects of users.

Encep said the synergy between Customs and Excise and BNN is a manifestation of the P4GN program or Prevention of Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in order to support Indonesia Bersinar (Clean from Drugs).

Customs collaborates with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the National Narcotics Agency to conduct socialization of IPR regulations and the dangers of drugs in this area
