Ndayishimiye discusses with senior financial officers regarding better budgetary management in line with the 2040-2060 vision.
Expected, 8/08/2024 – As part of Burundi’s socio-economic policy, a meeting was held in a sober atmosphere. Present Mr. Niyonzima Audace, Minister of Finance, Budgets and Economic Planning, HE Ndayishimiye Evariste, Major General and President of Burundi, a meeting was organized with senior officials of the Ministry of Finance. The objective was to ensure better ownership of their role in planning and managing the state budget, in line with the 2040-2060 vision.
Traditionally, to achieve Ubumu, Burundi’s socio-economic planningthe Sir, the chef of the Barundiconsulted the Bataka, family chef. Each person presented the needs of their family and the resources available. The Banyamanga, specialized expertsthen did the Ubumu, playing the role of planners and controllers. To evaluate the Ubumu, the Mwami exchanged again with the Bataka, checking if the redistribution of resources was harmonious or if adjustments were needed.
