The interim government has taken the initiative of publishing a white paper to highlight the overall economic situation of the country. For this reason, the Office of the Chief Adviser has formed a 12-member committee headed by Debapriya Bhattacharya, a prominent economist and an honorary fellow of the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a private research institute.
On Wednesday (August 28) the committee was formed and a notification was issued.

Earlier, on August 21, the press wing of the Chief Adviser informed about the formation of a committee to publish the white paper. At that time, it is said, in addition to keeping an overall picture of the country’s existing economy, the government’s strategic steps in economic matters, the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the transition from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to developing countries will be reflected in this white paper. For this purpose, the committee formed within the next 90 days with recommendations prepared by the chief advisor of the interim government. Muhammad will hand over to Yunus.
