jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the Indonesian Lobster Fishermen’s Association (ANLI) Rusdianto Samawa visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday (30/8/2024).

Rusdianto reported alleged problems with lobster seed management in Indonesia.

“We smell the aroma of illegal lobster seed exports (BBL) under the guise of cultivation,” said Rusdianto.

In addition to holding a demonstration in front of the KPK office, Rusdianto submitted evidence of alleged abuse of authority to KPK investigators.

“Our visit to the Corruption Eradication Committee from the Indonesian Lobster Fishermen Association is in principle to complete the data on the alleged export case under the guise of lobster seed cultivation,” said Rusdianto.

Rusdianto explained that his party questioned the existence of malicious intent to carry out alleged corruption and monopoly with the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 7/2024 concerning the Management of Lobsters (Panulirus spp.), Crabs (Scylla spp.) and Crabs (Portunus spp.)

“In the implementation of this Regulation, there is a strong monopoly because the owners of all 10 existing companies are all one owner. Only the people are divided to be able to hold one by one. Well, in this case we consider it very monopolistic,” he said.

Rusdianto said the alleged monopoly involved certain officials at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries by conducting back and forth outreach to Vietnam.
