A decade later, Suresh Gopi is back on the silver screen in a police uniform. The firebrand of Malayalam is getting khaki again through ‘Pappani’ prepared by Joshi. The actor will arrive in two getups as the character of Abraham Mathew Mathen. Police getup of the star in the flashback scenes of the movie has been released by the activists. Suresh Gopi’s Salt and Pepper Look’s ‘Pappante’ has been released so far.
Suresh Gopi was last seen in a police uniform in ‘King and Commissioner’ released in 2012. Nyla Usha will play the lead role of Suresh Gopi in the flashback scenes of Pappan. The scenes are shot together in the beautiful backdrop of the hilly areas of Illikkalkal, Ilaveezhapoonchira and Thikkoy in Kottayam district.
This is Pappan Suresh Gopi’s 252nd film in his career after the hugely successful Porinchu Mariam Jose. Pappan also has the distinction of making Suresh Gopi a solo hero after a gap of 22 years.
‘Pappanil’, which is being prepared as a crime investigation thriller, stars Neeta Pillai, Nyla Usha, Asha Sarath, Kaniha, Chandunath, Vijayaraghavan, Tini Tom, Shammi Thilakan and many more. This is the first time that Suresh Gopi and his son Gokul have teamed up in a movie.
The film is being produced by David Kachappilly and Rafi Mathira under the banner of David Kachappilly Productions and Ifar Media. The film is scripted by RJ Shan. Cinematography by Ajay David Kachappilly, Co-production by Sujith J. Nair, Shaji.
