The Tulang Belulang Tulang film is real evidence of the success of the incubation results of the 2021 Indonesiana Film program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to support community initiatives in the cultural sector.

The film, produced by Adhya Pictures and Pomp Pictures, tells the story of the Mangokal Holi tradition, which is the custom of moving the bones of ancestors by dismantling graves to collect the remaining bones and placing them in a monument building.

Director General of Culture of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Hilmar Farid said that the screening of the film Tulang Belulang Tulang in cinemas signifies the preservation and strengthening of the Indonesian film ecosystem.

“The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology always supports and facilitates Indonesian filmmakers to continue to develop, especially through the programs that we implement,” said Director General Hilmar, quoted on Saturday (21/9).

Hilmar also expressed his appreciation for the film Tulang Belulang Tulang, which is the result of the incubation of the 2021 Indonesiana Film program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

Director of Film, Music, and Media of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ahmad Mahendra ensured that the government is always present to provide support to local filmmakers to create works so as to strengthen the national film ecosystem.

“After such a systematic production, congratulations on the screening of Tulang Belulang Tulang. We at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology will continue to support the creative work of filmmakers, so that in the future there will be more achievements of Indonesian films in the international arena,” said Mahendra.
