The members of the Film Censor Board will serve in the newly constituted Certification Board. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also issued a notification in this regard. Later, when the vacancy was created due to the withdrawal of two members, the legendary actress of the subcontinent was proposed to come there.
Pakistan’s highest civilian award-winning actress Shabnam was offered to be on the Film Certification Board in a phone call on Thursday (September 19). However, due to physical illness, Shabnam rejected this proposal. If he insists, he asks for two days. Among them, the 79-year-old actress expressed her inability to stay on board if she fell ill. The actress herself confirmed the matter to the media.
Shabnam said on Saturday (September 21) afternoon, an official of the ministry proposed me to be on the board over the phone. But, at the moment my body does not permit much. Going to the doctor every day. I don’t even have time to think about these things. However, thanks to the ministry, they remembered me. Because, they could not think of me.
Shabnam said, nothing feels good if the body does not permit. This is my situation now. Would love to be on board. I’ve always been a bit of a homesick type of person. A few days ago they were offered the post of Chairman of Pakistan Film Development. He was also willing to pay a hefty honorarium for this. But, at this age, I don’t have the fitness to take on this responsibility. Moreover, I do not want to leave the country and go anywhere else. The few days I live, I want to leave the motherland laughing and playing with everyone.
