/ Al-Karkh Basketball Club achieved, on Friday, a strange victory over Al-Hilla Club due to “disqualification”, with a score of (19/7) within the Premier Basketball League competitions.
The head of the Basketball Federation, Hussein Al-Ameedi, told Agency, “The match between the two teams ended early and was not completed due to disqualification after the Al-Hilla players made fouls, so they were removed from the game after being punished according to the law, so that the number became insufficient and below what was permitted, so the referee of the match ended the match, announcing the death penalty.” Al-Karkh won with the last result and from the first quarter of the match.”
He added, “According to international law, Al-Hilla Club is considered a loser due to failure and disqualification against the opponent in terms of the reduced number.”
It is noteworthy that the basketball match consists of four periods, each ten-minute period, with time stops and between each break, and each team consists of five players.
Within the same competitions, the Air Defense Club defeated the Popular Mobilization Club by four points and with a score of (91-87).
