Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received UN Deputy Secretary General, UN High Representative for Landlocked Developing Countries Rabab Fatima, the government reports.
The message states:
“The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of holding a ministerial meeting of landlocked developing countries in Yerevan and expressed confidence that the discussions will be effective. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the cooperation of landlocked states and the implementation of development-oriented programs. In that regard, the Prime Minister referred to the possibilities of reopening communication channels in the region and the steps taken by the RA government in that direction.
Rabab Fatima noted that the meeting held in Yerevan under the title “Promoting equal, affordable and inclusive transport connectivity for sustainable and resilient economies” is the 2024 meeting. A formal thematic meeting to be organized ahead of the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC) in Kigali in June. The UN Deputy Secretary General invited Prime Minister Pashinyan to the event in Kigali on behalf of the UN Secretary General.”
