Yura Movsisyan, the striker of “Spartak” Moscow, defended the decision of the Rostov Armenians, by which they refuse to attend the match with “Spartak”.
On the day of the match, representatives of the local Armenian diaspora met with Movsisyan, and the latter signed the 60 tickets they bought.
“We talked with Yura for more than 20 minutes,” said one of the Armenians. “He supported our decision to refuse to attend the match with Spartak.” The tense situation should not overshadow the football celebration.”
Let’s remind that this decision of the Rostov Armenians was dictated by the awareness of their own security after the incident on March 28. On that day, “Rostov” fan Alexander Terekhov was killed in a collision. The suspects in the case are Nika Kharchilava and Garegin Mnatsakanyan.
“We understand that the situation in the city is extremely tense, and provocations are not excluded,” said one of the representatives of the Armenian Diaspora. “That’s why we decided not to attend the match with Spartak.”
