An agreement on military-technical cooperation was signed between Armenia and Greece

The official visit of RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan to the Republic of Greece started on December 14 with a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of the Unknown Soldier in front of the country’s parliament, the Ministry of Defense reports.

The message also states:

“After that, a welcoming ceremony was held at the Ministry of National Defense of Greece with the participation of the honor guard and military band.

After the ceremony, the meeting between RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Greek National Defense Minister Nikolaos Dendias started. Issues related to Armenian-Greek defense cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

The great potential of development of cooperation was noted on both sides, and an agreement was reached to develop it with a new momentum, including military-technical, experience exchange, educational, training, tactical training and other directions.

At the end of the meeting, the defense ministers of Armenia and Greece signed the agreement “On military-technical cooperation between the government of the Republic of Armenia and the government of the Republic of Greece”.

Defense ministers made a joint statement to the press.
